Each Independence Day, St. Louis puts on "America's Biggest Birthday Party" to celebrate our Nation's birth. The celebration usually lasts for several days and is located on the Arch grounds in downtown St. Louis. Recently Live on the Levee, a free concert series, has been added beginning on Independence Day and running for six weeks into August. Big name bands, such as Little Feat, John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, Gretchen Wilson, Counting Crows and Train have all been recent shows. The concerts are located under the Arch, on the Grand Staircase and Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd.
