Eat Rite Diner closed its doors in December 2020.

The Eat Rite Diner was located just south of Busch Stadium and was what an "American Diner" is all about! Regulars would enjoy eating at the counter on round bar stools, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on historic Route 66, it served a St Louis food classic "the Slinger", a hamburger served with fried eggs, hash browns, chili, cheese and onions on top, since about 1940. A juke box, and two pinball machines rounded out this classic downtown eatery!
